GOLF Boat of Garten Golf Course dubbed “Gleneagles of the North” a fine 18 hole course is only a few minutes drive from Docharn Lodge. You can play year round, subject to weather conditions, on one of the most picturesque courses in the area.

FISHING You can fish for salmon on the famous River Spey nearby. Day tickets can be obtained at the local post office in Boat of Garten. If you are interested in learning more there are some great fishing schools in the area too BIRD WATCHING and WILDLIFE Head out anywhere in the National Park and you will discover a wide range of wildlife. You can book a guide and watch the Black Grouse, roe deer and much more. Not forgetting the famous RSPB Opsrey hide at Loch Garten where you can view the Osprey nest, the Insh Marshes Reserve is only a few miles further. WALKING AND HILL WALKING Explore the dramatic countryside to discover and appreciate what's around you, either on your own or by an organised walk with a ranger. There is something for everyone, from gentle woodland strolls to the high mountain tops to suit the keenest Munro bagger. |
QUAD BIKING Book a session with one of the excellent providers they will take you on an exciting journey across varied terrain, taking in spectacular views of the area. You will be accompanied by experienced and fully trained professional guides who will teach you to quad bike.
